A happy ending

A happy ending for that boots-badge story from a week or so ago:

The badge in question was being sold on eBay among a small host of others, from which it does not look like there is much market in second-hand badges of this sort per se. They have attracted no interest – except for this one, and that presumably as a result of being mentioned on Conductive World. Even so, after 25 views, however, it still attracted just one solitary bid, and then sold for no more than its opening price.

On the face of it, rather sad..

And now the story has been told. One needs neither L. S.. Vygotskii nor Mssrs Mills & Boon to explain that meaning creates transformational value, and that value is without price.
