Small progress in international encyclopaedia

French version also now published

In July last year Conductive World reported upon Julie Yali Gao's refreshing entry on Conductive Education in the emerging on-line International Encyclopedia of Rehabilitation, remarking –

Readers of Conductive World may be unsurprised that the encyclopedia’s item on Conductive Education, along with all its supporting references, are translated from the Chinese.
Little glitches and one important omission aside, this article, by Julie Yali Gao, is rather good.

The encyclopaedia's website has now been been upgraded. Julie Yali Gao's article seems substantively as it was, but has been supplemented by the addition of links, including:
  • extensive bibliography on cerebral palsy, essential resource for anyone seeking to maintain and extend current awareness of the technical literature on this condition
  • Recours à la pédagogie conductive pour promouvoir l'initiative comportementale chez les enfants atteints de paralysie cérébrale: the encyclopedia's entry in French translation, a useful addition to the still relatively limited Francophone literature and perhaps in itself a useful rhetorical weapon for those arguing for Conductive Education's 'acceptance' in French-speaking lands.
