I missed the advance notice of this but here it is for the record to show something of what is being done in Germany.

Self-Help Bavaria holds Petö Professional Day in Würzburg

'Conductive Education', also known as 'Petö', is a method to develop motor skills that has been till now mainly for girls and boys with physical disabilities. Now, at a Professional Day on 7 May 2013 in Würzburg, Self-Help Bavaria wants to pursue the idea that this therapy is also suitable for adults with intellectual disabilities

Barbara Stamm, Chair of Self-help at the Bavarian State Parliament, will personally open the conference, at 10.00 clock at Würzburg Kolping Academy. The programme includes opinions from members, as well as lectures and workshops. The Professional Day 'Conductive Education for adults with intellectual disability' will be organized in cooperation with Fortschritt Würzburg and Self-Help Traunstein. The event is free of charge.
