CALLING ME TO ACCOUNT

Thank you, Norman

An emailed enquiry from Norman Perrin –
You wrote about Louise Bøttcher with some enthusiasm in a blog in March 2010.
Did you ever return to her, as you said you might?

The posting that Norman refers to was:
http://www.conductive-world.info/2010/03/good-news-on-research-front.html

My embarrassed reply –
I have to admit that I forgot her!
I have looked at her published record over the last four or five years and seen that she has made no published connection with CE, not surprising in Denmark where there seems to have been very little in the way of public interest for some years now.
Ms Bøttcher  is still ploughing her furrow:

She has published mainly in Danish, so little of what she says leaks outside Denmark. If I were looking to bring relevant people together nowadays to discuss the psychology of cerebral palsy I would think of her.

Cerebral palsy is not, however, my field. I am happy to leave such discussion to those whose job it is to know about these matters.

  1. Who else would you invite? I can only think of Lisa Woolfson. On looking for material on cerebral palsy and psychology I found several references to an article by Jackie Parkes and a number of others from a variety of countries at http://research.ncl.ac.uk/sparcle/Publications_files/Published%20article_Psychological%20problems_Parkes%20-7610.2007.01845.x.pdf which does look interesting.
