OLIVER SACKS (1933–2015)

Neurologist and motorcyclist

Dr Oliver Sacks died on the morning of Sunday 30 August.
He was 82.
He was also heir to a vital methodological tradition that manifested itself in his work in 'the connections between science and art, physiology and psychology, the beauty and economy of the natural world and the magic of the human imagination':

Cri de coeur

Why oh why does the potential of the methodological approach of such a towering figure in rehabilitation research remain so steadfastly underexplored – not least by Conductive Education that could offer such a mine of rich, relevant human experience, and so desperately needs a fresh, relevant research paradigm?
