WC 9 – A BIT OF AN UPDATE

Interesting announcement on paid attendance
Submissions are now closed

The website of the 9th World Congress has published an unusual announcement:
We highly appreciate the support of the organisations listed below who have offered to cover in part the costs of their staff members invited by the organisers of the 9th World Congress on Conductive Education as active contributors
Move & Walk (Sweden)
ACENA (USA/Canada/Mexico)
Conductive Learning Center (Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA)
SAHK, Hong Kong, China
The Center for Independence through Conductive Education, Chamberlain & Herbst (Chicago, Illinois, USA)
Phoenix GmbH Konduktive Förderung der Stiftung Pfennigparade (Munich, Germany)
Verein für Menschen mit Körperbehinderung Nürnberg e.V. (Nuremberg, Germany)
http://www.peto.hu/wcce2016/en/acknowledgements
Germany (2), Hong Kong (1), Sweden (1) USA (3)

ACENA's contribution is interesting, as it is an umbrella organisation.

I have not previously seen such an announcement, made presumably with the agreement of those whose financial business is being disclosed pour encourager les autres.

Nearly there

Incidentally, the top of each page of the website is emblazoned

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
DEADLINE 30th SEPTEMBER!

That date being passed, submissions will now be being scrutinised for a programme to be assembled. This may have already been done.

In 2010 and 2013 the Internet was abuzz with items around the Congress. In 2016, there has been very little to see. There may be yet.
